CME ACCREDITATION 

This CME activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) thru the Joint Sponsorship of the Institute for Medical Studies (IMS) and IAACN. IMS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  

 

IMS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 19 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

 

Nurses may claim credit for activities approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits in most states, for up to 50% of the nursing requirement for recertification. This activity is designated for up to 19 AMA PRA Category1 Credits.


Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants: The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accept AMA/PRA category 1 credits from organizations accredited by the ACCME. IMS is accredited to provide continuing medical education for physicians and will provide physician assistants and nurse practitioners who successfully complete each activity with a certificate of participation indicating that the activity was designated for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM.

 

 The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 credits™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME. The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmacy
