CME ACCREDITATION 

This CME activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) thru the Joint Sponsorship of the Institute for Medical Studies IMS and IAACN. IMS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  

IMS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 23 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Nurses may claim credit for activities approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits in most states, for up to 50% of the nursing requirement for recertification. This activity is designated for up to 23 as the maximum AMA PRA Category1 Credits.


 Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants: The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accept AMA/PRA category 1 credits from organizations accredited by the ACCME. IMS is accredited to provide continuing medical education for physicians and will provide physician assistants and nurse practitioners who successfully complete each activity with a certificate of participation indicating that the activity was designated for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM.

 

 

The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 credits™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME. The provider of this program, the Institute for Medical Studies, is accredited by the ACCME and designates this educational activity for a maximum of 19 hours general session and 4 hours workshop AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physician assistants should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

 

 

 

University of Toledo College of Pharmacy -General Sessions (Pending)

University of Toledo College of Pharmacy is accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. the program has been approved up to 18.0 contact hours of professional continuing education credit 19 hours (1.9 c.e.u.). The Universal Program Number is 051-999-06-008-L04. To receive continuing education credit, a participant must return proof of attendance and the program evaluation instrument. Further, registrants must be signed-in no later than 10 minutes after the start of the program and must attend the entire presentation. Statement of CE Credit will be mailed to registrants by The Univerisity of Toledo within four weeks of the program offering.

Workshop

The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The program has been approved for 4 contact hours (0.4 c.e.u.). The Universal Program Numbers is 051-999-06-009-L04. To receive continuing education credit, a participant must return proof of attendance and the program evaluation instrument. Further, registrants must be signed-in no later than 10 minutes after the start of the program and must attend the entire presentation. (Pending)

ADA – IAACN submitted symposium material for pre-approval this year (RD credits)

RDs in a self reporting system should send a copy of the IAACN certificate that they will receive.
